Taha Akbarally, a Research and Development Engineer at TNK, and completing his Juris Doctor (JD) from Monash University this year, complementing his Bachelor of Science in Mathematical Physics from the University of Melbourne. At CyberCon 2024, Taha will address the evolving legal landscape surrounding cybersecurity. His presentation will explore the differing approaches towards the regulation of cyberthreats, what obligations may arise, who these obligations pertain to, and what can be done when these obligations are breached. Taha will discuss the current legal infrastructure on cybersecurity, how it mitigates cybersecurity risks as well as the pitfalls where it fails to address relevant or expected issues.
