Despite a rocky start, which may or may not have involved David repeatedly infecting his school computer network with viruses and getting suspended as a result, David has been involved professionally in the technology industry for over 25 years, developing a passion in empowering boards, business owners and managers to make educated decisions on cyber security related risks for their businesses.
David built a successful cyber business on the beautiful Gold Coast before that business was acquired by CFC in 2021. CFC is a global insurer focussing on emerging risks and has a heavy focus on cyber – being one of the largest cyber insurers to the Australian market.
David heads up the Australian office of Solis Security, which has offices in Australia, America and the United Kingdom, providing Proactive Cyber Security, Digital Forensics, Incident Response and Data Mining services for SMB and SME businesses globally.
David is a CISSP, GCFE (Certified Forensic Examiner), GCFA (Certified Forensic Analyst), GCFE (Certified Forensic Examiner) and Certified Professional (Cyber Security) by the Australian Computer Society.
Beyond my professional endeavours, I am deeply passionate about mental health advocacy, drawing from my own journey and experiences. I am committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment within the cybersecurity industry, nurturing the next generation of talent and promoting mental wellness for all.
