Synopsis

Confused about cryptography? Don't understand what Quantum is? How do you know if you have a supply chain problem with respect to cryptography?

Trust me, you're not alone in asking these questions.

This talk came out of the last 6 months of work where I authored a cryptography and key management strategy for the Operational Technology group of a major Critical Infrastructure organisation in Australia.

The strategy, which engages both Governance and Technical stakeholders, provides a path forward for dealing with upcoming issues surrounding the future of cryptography - including the depreciation of RSA 2048 and the oncoming era of Quantum computing.

As a part of that work, this talk aims to demystify the terminology, explain the problems, and suggest both solutions and timelines for cryptography in the next 15 years (including a path to quantum resistance).

And you do not have to be a cryptographer to action it - both Governance and Technical audience members can gain an insight in to how to operationalise their cryptography strategy.
