How to build customs applications to extend Entra ID Sign-Up Flows and migrate your customer's digital identities

In May 2024, Microsoft released its latest Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM/B2C) capability. It is a major new release of capability for businesses to build a secure customer channel. Alex has been the lead developer for the new VicGov CIAM and has gained extensive experience in extending the sign-up/sign-in process.

This process included verifying that a B2C user is valid before signup and that their User properties, such as UPN and Extension Attributes, are set after sign-up according to business rules. It also involved migrating existing users from legacy and bespoke B2C capability.
