Synopsis

What would Victoria do in a Cyber Emergency? Who’s in charge, who’s responsible, and what are all of our responsibilities to help ensure a cyber safe Victoria?

In March 2024, the Victorian Department of Government Services published an updated State Emergency Management Plan Cyber Security Sub-Plan (the Sub-Plan). The Sub-Plan outlines Whole of Victorian Government arrangements for cyber security emergencies. The Sub-Plan’s non-emergency equivalent – the Cyber Security Incident Management Plan – has subsequently also been reviewed and is expected to be published in late 2024.

During this session, DGS will outline why these Whole of Victorian Government plans are important to the resilience of all entities that serve Victorians, directly or indirectly. The session will also cover practical ways that the plans can be used to support internal planning.
