Zhao Yuan received his B.Sc. in Internet of Things from Northwest University, China, in 2017 and his M.Sc. in Information Technology from The University of Sydney in 2019. He recently earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Technology Sydney in May 2024. Yuan's research is dedicated to leveraging AI techniques to enhance visual data security and privacy against emerging AI-based threats. His representative studies include image de-identification for facial privacy protection, Deepfake detection, and invisible watermarks to protect image ownership. He has authored six papers in recognized journals and conferences. He also taught AI and cybersecurity courses across multiple institutions. Currently, he is a senior security analyst at Accenture within the Data & AI Security Team, focusing on providing security controls from AI perspectives.
