Dr William Yeoh is an Associate Professor at Deakin University. He is also the Innovation Head at Deakin's Strategic Research and Innovation Centre for Cyber Resilience and Trust (‘Deakin Cyber’).
His main research areas include cybersecurity, blockchain & AI. His scholarship has been published in leading journals (including 8A* and 26 A ABDC-ranked journal publications) and top conferences (e.g., ICIS, HICSS), and has been supported by various funding bodies and industries. He has successfully supervised 7 doctoral and 9 master theses to completion, with one being a Best PhD Thesis Medal finalist. He has been an external examiner for numerous doctoral theses (eg. Ottawa Uni, NOVA-IMS, ECU). He is also the Editor-in-Chief Emeritus of the International Journal of Business Intelligence Research.
Throughout his academic career, he has been recognised for excellence in teaching, research, and service, receiving the ICT Educator of the Year Gold Award, the Deakin Vice-Chancellor's Award, the Deakin Faculty Research Excellence Award, and two-time internationally-competitive IBM Faculty Awards with USD$30K. In 2020, he was named Australia's Top 25 Analytics Leaders by The Institute of Analytics Professionals of Australia.
