Steven is a cyber security professional with a career spanning over twenty years of experience across a range of industries including finance, energy & utilities, resources, transport, manufacturing, government, health, education, technology, media & telecommunications.
A Director at Deloitte within the Technology & Transformation division and a leader within the firm’s Cyber practice, Steven is a senior security architect by trade and has also held various leadership and technical positions at Computer Associates, CGI, Fujitsu Australia, Dimension Data, and Zimbani.
Pragmatic in his approach to cyber and information security, Steven is a security leader focused in building trust and nurturing the next generation of practitioners. In providing business-driven and outcome-based value to manage risk effectively, Steven has contributed to the improvement of cyber risk management across many ASX-listed companies and some of Australia's largest organisations in areas such as security architecture & strategy, managed services, incident response, research & development, and technical solutions & controls.
A Deakin University alumnus, having majored in computer science and information systems, Steven’s post-nominals include: CISSP, CISM, CCSP, SABSA SCF and CDPSE. Steven is currently the Board Secretary of the ISACA Melbourne Chapter, and volunteers as the IT Officer for his local early childhood education institution.
An avid supporter and member of the Geelong Football Club, he is passionate about enjoying good food & drink (in particularly wood-fired cooking) with his family, and unwinding in his home theatre and library of films.
