Simone is the founding director of Law & Cyber and specialises in the intersection of legal, cyber and business risk. She has received AGSM’s Wanbil Lee Prize for Ethical Leadership in Business and the Innovator of the Year (Individual) Award at the Lawyers Weekly Women in Law Awards in 2022 where she was also nominated for Thought Leader of the Year in both 2022 and 2023. She is a regular contributor to a range of publications including for the Law Council of Australia.
Simone has given expert written opinion in Supreme Court proceedings against a law practice involving allegations of email-enabled fraud and she was invited to give evidence before the Commonwealth Parliamentary Joint Committee on Law Enforcement its inquiry into the capability of law enforcement to respond to cybercrime.
Simone has educated more than 10,000 Australians about cybercrime through journal articles, board briefings, executive and board training sessions and eLearning programs across a wide range of industry types and sectors. In her spare time she enjoys precious family time, sailing and the beauty of nature.
