Matthew is a principal security consultant within the Proactive Labs team, with over 15 year's experience in the Information Technology industry, and with 8 years in offensive security.
As a penetration tester, Matthew has extensive experience in both private and public sectors, performing technical security assessments, and penetrating large, complex organisation systems with demonstrated impact against high-profile targets.
Matthew enjoys performing realistic security assessments, identifying root cause issues of technical problems and explaining them to every level of audience.
Matthew regularly develops bespoke tooling for engagements, as well as several longer-term projects such as automated lab deployments for security research and a multi-node black and white box fuzzing cluster built off afl-fuzz and several custom components.
Matthew also has also performed other technical roles outside of penetration testing, including development of open-source collection systems, and technical advisory for uplifting large government organisations.
