Jessica Robinson established the Cyber Legislative Reforms Section following the launch of the 2023-2030 Australian Cyber Security Strategy in November 2023. As former Director of the Strategy, Jess was well placed to lead the development of Australia’s first Cyber Security Bill, implementing key measures identified under the Strategy. Jess is also responsible for delivering the next phase of the Single Reporting Portal exploring opportunities for regulatory harmonisation.Jess has previously held a number of roles within and outside of Government, focussing on national security law and policy, and critical infrastructure security. Jess was admitted to Legal Practice in Queensland after finishing her Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice and Bachelor of Laws through the Queensland University of Technology. Jess has studied international law at The Hague Academy of International Law and has a Master of Law from the University of Melbourne.
