Jarrod Loidl is Director (Cyber) for Deloitte based out of their Brisbane office. He is a recognised multi-disciplinary cybersecurity & technical risk leader bringing a unique blend of technical and business acumen. With two decades of dedicated experience in the field, Jarrod has worked across the cybersecurity ecosystem ranging from vendors, in-house security teams, professional services firms, and managed services security providers working with some of Australia’s largest brands - including CISO experience. He is an experienced presenter, writer, people leader, and manager; with demonstrable experience running large and diverse teams, while ensuring staff retention, engagement, and morale while delivering outcomes.
He volunteers his spare time working as a chapter lead for the Australian Women in Security Network (AWSN) as a chapter lead in Sunshine Coast, his hometown and is committed to building up his local cyber community and supporting the next generation of cybersecurity professionals.
He is also a father, husband, Christian, retired powerlifter, mixed martial artist (holding 1st dan black belt in tae kwon do, blue belt in brazilian jiu jitsu, recently started eskrima). He also has a 10th dan black belt in memes and is a self-confessed geek at heart.
