David grew up reading a mix of Cryptonomicon, Applied Cryptography and NT4 MCSE manuals, before deciding there might be something to this whole "IT" thing.
He started a Managed Service Provider in Melbourne when he was 23 (and was still young enough to know everything), and built the business and his team over 7 years before it was acquired in 2011.
David has spent the last 20 years either running an MSP, working in MSPs, or consulting to MSPs, and understands the unique struggles of keeping multiple plates spinning for every client.
For the past 6 years, David has been coaching MSPs to improve operational efficiency, financial performance, and - more recently - on cybersecurity strategy and saes. He is the founder of Flow9 Consulting, and believes that there is so much more IT Providers and MSPs could deliver to clients if they focussed their discussions around risk instead of tools or specifications.
