Dan has over 15 years of experience in national security and risk management. As the Head of Cyber Resilience for Zurich Resilience Solutions Australia (ZRS), Dan is responsible for supporting ZRS’s clients in making risk-based cybersecurity decisions to improve their overall organisational resilience. Dan joined ZRS two years ago, leading Canada’s cyber advisory group and working with global partners to reduce their risk and make cyber easier to understand.
Prior to joining Zurich, Dan spent six years working for the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) as an Intelligence Officer, where he held several confidential roles in counterintelligence investigations and was responsible for redesigning the organisation’s operational risk management program.
Before that, Dan spent nearly a decade in law enforcement and intelligence, investigating multinational criminal organisations. During that time, he served under multiple agencies as a senior member of a national counterterrorism taskforce and led multiple multinational online investigations into organised crime and money laundering.
Dan also serves with several international organisations to improve awareness of global cyber security risk issues speaking to international Board, conferences, and think tanks.
