Ahmad Salehi Shahraki

Dr. Ahmad is a lecturer in Cybersecurity at La Trobe University's Department of Computer Science and Information Technology. At La Trobe, he spearheads various cutting-edge Cybersecurity research and industry projects to tackle current and future challenges in the field.

With a career that spans significant academic roles at La Trobe, RMIT and Monash University, along with extensive industry experience, Dr. Ahmad brings a remarkable depth of knowledge and expertise to his work. At RMIT, he was a key research fellow at both the Blockchain Innovation Hub and the Centre for Cyber Security Research and Innovation, where he made substantial contributions to the Digital CBD project funded by the Victorian Government.

Dr. Ahmad earned his Ph.D. and master's by research in Cybersecurity from Monash University and QUT. He is an active member of several prestigious organisations, including IEEE, AISA, ACS, IACR, and ACM. His career is marked by the successful supervision of numerous research students and notable contributions to leading conferences and journals in the field of Cybersecurity.

His research interests are broad and impactful, covering security, privacy, and trust practices, with specialised expertise in access control, applied cryptography, blockchain, distributed systems, edge and cloud computing, IoT, and digital health.

Driven by a passion for advancing Cybersecurity and Blockchain technologies, Dr. Ahmad continually seeks innovative collaborations with companies and institutes worldwide to push the boundaries of these critical areas. His unwavering dedication to research and commitment to fostering new talent have established him as a prominent figure in the global Cybersecurity community.
