Synopsis

In 2024, the landscape of cybersecurity will undergo a significant shift as new regulations take effect globally. In the USA, India, Australia, and the EU, comprehensive cyber laws will become mandatory, marking a new era of digital governance and security. The USA is poised to strengthen its cybersecurity framework, while India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA) sets a new precedent for personal data protection. Australia continues to refine its cybersecurity strategies, and the EU introduces a suite of regulations including the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA), the Network and Information Security (NIS 2) Directive, and the groundbreaking EU AI Act.
