How do you enable security operations and a consistent approach to cyber security across government? By leading with a strategy that empowers entities to aim for maturing cyber security.
WA Government has built up over the past 6 years capability that has enabled a Security Operations Model that provides central visibility across almost 100 entities and measures cyber security maturity to inform cyber risks to Government. This was not always the case.
The Office of Digital Government (DGov) within the Department of the Premier and Cabinet that leads, supports and coordinates the digital transformation of the WA public sector.
DGov’s Cyber Security Unit leads, coordinates and supports whole-of-government cyber security efforts to protect the WA Government’s information, assets and service delivery from cyber threats. The Unit was established in 2018 and is led by the Chief Information Security Officer.
