Synopsis

In February 2016, cybercriminals infiltrated the systems of Bangladesh's central bank and attempted that largest bank robbery ever - to steal one billion dollars.

While they were ultimately only able to make off with part of that amount, the scale and sophistication of the attack took authorities and the global financial community by surprise.

This presentation will dive deep into the details of how the heist was carried out. The months of planning, the vulnerabilities in the bank's security systems that allowed the hackers to gain access, the complex web of money laundering techniques they used to move the stolen funds, and who authorities believe was responsible.
