Synopsis

In the ever evolving and changing landscape of cybersecurity, ransomware attacks have taken center stage as one of the most disruptive forms of cyber threats. Sophisticated threat actors are now exfiltrating data and threatening to publish it or delete the data altogether. Ransomware attacks have become increasingly sophisticated, targeting businesses large and small, disrupting operations and extorting funds. The need for a comprehensive defence has never been more pressing. In 2023 ransomware attacks increased 30% from the previous year and this trend is likely to continue. Ransomware has become a lucrative activity, netting gangs hundreds of millions. Based on research into ransomware attacks and bringing together various control frameworks this presentation will cover a comprehensive action plan for ransomware mitigation, response, and recovery.
