Synopsis

In an ever-evolving threat landscape, organisations are increasingly focused on cybersecurity to prevent unauthorised access to the network. But in an environment where the key consideration has shifted from ‘if we are breached’, to ‘when we are breached’, the ability of an organisation to recover from a significant cyber incident has become critical to its growth and sustainability. So has ‘Cyber Resiliency’ become first line of defence for organisations?

Through the firsthand perspectives of an expert claims manager and a seasoned incident response lawyer, viewed through the lens of experienced cyber risk transfer specialists, the panel will explore how ‘cyber resiliency’ differs from ‘cyber security’, and why at times cyber resiliency is more crucial. The panel will also uncover whether there is a relationship between cyber resiliency and quantum of financial loss from a cyber incident, as well as the criticality of cyber resiliency from a legal/regulatory perspective in the event of a cyber incident.

Drawing upon the panel's expertise, we'll discuss the benefits endured by those organisations able to demonstrate a high-level of cyber resiliency, and explore 'best practices' employed by industry leaders in this space. To conclude, we'll elaborate on some of the barriers to becoming a cyber resilient organisation.
