Synopsis

Main content is drawn from experiences at two education organisations in South Australia - Westminster School and Tabor College.

Q&A will involve how we can, as parents, friends and citizens, be aware of how tools such as Discord, Steam and others coerce kids into giving away identity, location, private information, and crucially some proven techniques to prevent it but also educate kids on what to be aware of themselves.

Direct experiences with "what kids said" will offer a unique insight into their views on some of the issues they've seen, how they dealt with those issues, how Mum and Dad helped (or in some cases how they themselves were compromised!) and the actions they took as a family.

Also offered is a family perspective on these issues - our immediate family is one that spans three generations, Baby Boomer, Gen X, Millennial/Z - our approach and advice caters to what we've learnt and applied in real life for each unique demographic, all with a positive approach.

We can offer handout materials as required (if endorsed).

We believe this expert booth session will offer value to visitors and provide a valuable service of information.
